Get Shaved Truck

Based off Hawaiian shaved ice, The Get Shaved Truck, has brought the “ice cream truck” to a gourmet level. With a fusion of homemade syrup made from pure cane sugar combined with a multitude of delectable add ons, this is not your average shaved ice. Choose a scoop of 3 ice creams, throw on some sweet red bean past and indulge in the light, fluffy ice.

For those distrusting of themselves, choose from the trucks most popular menu items:

-Monkey Brains: Strawberry and Banana Shaved Ice over Vanilla Ice Cream and topped with Sweetened Condensed Milk
-Root Beer Dream: Root Beer Shaved Ice over Vanilla Ice Cream and topped with Sweetened Condensed Milk -Rockin’ Rainbow: Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Pineapple Shaved Ice over Vanilla Ice Cream.

Get Shaved is also opening brick and mortar shop in early May at 9255 Reseda Blvd. Next to Falafel Palace in Northridge.

Valley Circle Estates

In the 1980’s, Robert Zuckerman and the Continental Communities Development group began to build homes in what was to become known as Valley Circle Estates. These traditional homes, noted for their beautiful interior wood detail, were built on County Oak Rd., Nora Lynn Dr., Woodland View Dr., Paseo La Vista, Little Oak Ln., Calvert St., and Wooded Vista. In the late 80,s early 90,s, the undeveloped lots were sold to Anden developers and they built just a few homes and the models ,known as Hearthside Homes. They in turn sold the undeveloped lots to White Hawk developers, who, in the early 90’s built Mediterranean style homes. White Hawk in turn sold the remaining lots to Braemar, who completed the development in the mid to late 90,s of what is known as Valley Circle Estates. A few lots were sold to private developers. Valley Circle Estates is located west of Valley Circle, mostly south of Victory to Woodland View, with Wooded Vista to the north of Victory bordering Knapp Ranch Park. The Ahmanson Ranch Victory Trailhead is at the top of Victory by the Valley Circle Estate Monument. The school district is a mix of Las Virgenes Schools and LAUSD, depending on the street and the address.
